Scripture/Text: 1 Corinthians 1:18-31; The last two weeks, our church has focused on how 1 Corinthians 15 reveals the significance of the Resurrection. This Sunday, we will meditate on a surprising gift of Jesus' cross found in 1 Corinthians 1. The cross is the revelation of God's wisdom and power. Moreover, we will consider how God's work in taking the cross, what is called "the foolish things" of this world to bring our redemption, brings immediate hope to our lives.
