Most To Be Pitied?

Preached by: Pastor Jeremiah Vaught | 8/25/24

Scripture/Text: 1 Corinthians 15:12-20; We talk a lot about the importance of Jesus' resurrection. Sunday, we will consider how Paul could say these words, "If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied." (1 Corinthians 15:19) Beyond asking why Paul says this of himself, we will ponder whether we could say the same thing about the centrality of the resurrection in our lives. I will make it clear why this question is a good litmus test. It reveals if we have an intellectual grasp on the nature of the Gospel. Also, it shows if our affections are appropriately aligned the foundational claims of Christianity. I am looking forward to Sunday.
